German Open 2018 live scores and tournament schedule

Peter Wright is the defending champion (credit:PDC Europe)

The PDC European Tour continues in Saarbrücken this weekend and you can follow all the latest results and fixtures here.

The third of 13 live-streamed Euro Tour events this season will feature 48 players battling it out for the £25,000 title at the Saarlandhalle.

The field is comprised of the top 16 players from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit as of February 6 (seeded through to the Second Round) plus a further 18 UK Qualifiers, eight West/South European qualifiers, four Home Nation qualifiers, a Nordic and Baltic qualifier and an East European qualifier.

Second seed Peter Wright is the defending champion after a dramatic 6-5 victory over Benito van de Pas in last year's final.

Wright has finished runner-up to Michael van Gerwen in both of this year's Euro Tour events so far and will be determined to stop the rot and deny the rampant Dutchman.

World Champion Rob Cross and fellow Premier League stars Michael Smith, Daryl Gurney and Simon Whitlock are also vying for glory, alongside the likes of Mensur Suljovic, Dave Chisnall and Ian White.

Notable qualifiers include former major champions James Wade, Robert Thornton and Paul Nicholson, multiple major finalist Terry Jenkins and 2008 world finalist Kirk Shepherd.

International qualifiers include Danny Noppert, Dimitri van den Bergh, Jan Dekker and Zoran Lerchbacher, while Germany's number one Max Hopp is also in action.

The tournament runs from April 13-15, with all matches up to and including the Semi-Finals to be contested over the best of 11 legs, Semi-Finals best of 13 and the final best of 15.
