Live Darts on Friday: US Darts Masters 2017 Day One preview and order of play

The highly-anticipated US Darts Masters gets underway on Friday as the eight North American qualifiers test themselves against the PDC's elite in Las Vegas.

The first PDC televised event on American soil since 2010 sees a selection of the sport's top stars battle it out in the third World Series event of the season.

A shake-up to this week's line-up sees two emerging stars handed a World Series debut as Daryl Gurney and Max Hopp aim to prove they have what it takes to mix it with the big boys.

Gurney, UK Open semi-finalist and first-time winner on the ProTour this season, kicks off the day's action with a clash against Dennis 'DJ' Sayre - a 30-year-old Ohio-based qualifier.

German ace Hopp, a former World Youth champion, faces a tricky test against Dave Richardson - the Scotland-born thrower who lost 6-5 in last night's North American Championship final.

Willard Bruguier, the man responsible for beating Richardson in the final to seal his spot at Ally Pally, looks to continue his dream week by springing an upset on UK Open runner-up Gerwyn Price.

Price, who has already featured in the Dubai Masters and Shanghai Masters this year, will be out to fine-tune his game ahead of his show-down with Phil Taylor at the World Matchplay later this month.

James Wade, the man who replaced Phil Taylor after he withdrew through illness, looks to seize his chance by overcoming young sensation Dawson Murschell - the 21-year-old Canadian who reached the Semi-Finals of last night's North American Championship.

Red hot favourite Michael van Gerwen is bidding to follow up his success in Shanghai and has been drawn to face Californian qualifier Chris White.

Dubai Masters champion Gary Anderson looks to settle in to the competition by ending the hopes of 44-year-old Canadian - Jayson Barlow.

UK Open champion Peter Wright takes on Shawn Brenneman - who will be keen to bounce back from his 6-1 defeat in Round One of the North American Championship, which was held on the same stage.

Raymond van Barneveld, who thrashed Gary Anderson 8-1 in Shanghai, opens up his Vegas campaign against Canadian hopeful David Cameron - who has experience of competing on the Lakeside stage.

The action gets underway from 8pm BST, with all matches contested over the best of 11 legs at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas.
