Michael van Gerwen will challenge for a hat-trick of World Series Finals titles in Glasgow next month, while the likes of Rob Cross and Corey Cadby will make their debuts in the three-day competition.

Van Gerwen has been victorious for the past two years at the Braehead Arena in what is a culmination of the annual worldwide World Series of Darts events.

Eight players qualify from the World Series of Darts rankings, with Scottish duo Gary Anderson and Peter Wright joining Van Gerwen among the top names to compete north of the border.

In addition, Raymond van Barneveld, James Wade, Daryl Gurney, Kyle Anderson and Gerwyn Price will all feature, while Phil Taylor has opted not to participate in the event as he continues to scale down his playing commitments ahead of retirement.

The top four non-qualified players from the PDC Order of Merit will also take their place in the line-up, meaning Adrian Lewis, Mensur Suljovic, Dave Chisnall and Jelle Klaasen will be in action from November 3-5.

Australian duo Simon Whitlock and Corey Cadby are joined by Michael Smith and Max Hopp as four international invitations.

Eight players battled their way through a 128-man field in the qualifying event in Barnsley on October 9, with Rob Cross, Dimitri Van den Bergh, Chris Dobey, Justin Pipe, Jonny Clayton, Mark Webster, Jan Dekker and Simon Stevenson all securing a place in the £200,000 main event.

Play begins with the First Round on Friday November 3 (7pm), with the top eight seeds entering the event in the Second Round on Saturday November 4 (7pm).

The tournament's decisive third day on Sunday November 5 will feature the Quarter-Finals in the afternoon session (12.45pm) and the Semi-Finals and final in evening session (7pm).
